General Information

Dr. Welk is  a native Oregonian.  He attended the University of Oregon, graduating Cum Laude with department honors in Science and Phi Beta Kappa distinctions.  He also received a minor in Music while earning a full music scholarship. 

Dr. Welk completed his doctor of dental medicine degree (D.M.D.) at the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry, graduating with High Honors.  After graduating from OHSU Dental School, he completed a general practice residency at the OHSU Hospital Dental Service in Portland, Oregon.

Dr. Welk returned to the dental school following his hospital residency to complete a fellowship in the Department of Endodontics which he spent a year on the faculty teaching dental students and performing research.  Dr. Welk received his Specialty Certificate in Endodontics from the Oregon Health Sciences University in 2002. 

Dr. Welk is a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.

Dr. Welk's professional memberships include the American Association of  Endodontists, American Dental Association,  Oregon Dental Association,   Oregon State Association of Endodontists, and Clackamas County Dental Society.

Dr. Welk is currently the president of the Oregon State Association of Endodontists, and immediate past president of the Clackamas County Dental Society. 

Dr. Welk and his wife, Amy, have twin daughters.  When Dr. Welk is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, music, watching college sports, and being active doing outdoor activites.
 

Nancy is Dr. Welk's front office coordinator.  From scheduling to insurance estimates, she will make you transition from your general dentist to our office a seamless as possible.

Sherry is Dr. Welk's assistant and has provided chair-side assistance over the past 22 years and will make your treatment a comfortable experience.
